The Need

Our commitment as an organization is to provide accurate, non-denominational health education and support  to the women and girls of Roatan, Honduras. 

Our organization was founded for and by women and girls.  However, women's rights and the upholding of such rights extend to all and therefore, our organization invites all regardless of sexuality, gender, or race. 

To empower girls and women with the knowledge, skills, and resources to support their healthy lifestyles. RPHE focuses heavily on girls and women empowerment, menstrual hygiene education, family planning fairs, and menopause workshops and entrepreneurship. 

Roatan Peer Health Exchange (RPHE)  stands out for its innovative approach to empowering girls and women by integrating comprehensive education and resource access into its initiatives. By focusing on critical areas such as menstrual hygiene education, family planning, and menopause workshops, RPHE addresses the entire spectrum of women's health needs, fostering a holistic sense of well-being. Their empowerment programs go beyond traditional health education, incorporating entrepreneurship training to equip women with the skills necessary for economic independence. This multifaceted strategy not only enhances the physical health of girls and women but also supports their financial and social empowerment, creating a sustainable model for community development and individual growth.
